With a workforce exceeding 100,000 employees worldwide, the organization is a prominent figure in the biotech sector.

The company had set forth two primary objectives:

  1. Streamlining the training notification process through automation to enhance efficiency and oversight in assigning and monitoring employee training.
  2. Elevating employee participation rates in training initiatives to ensure that staff remain abreast of the latest developments and continuously enhance their skills.

In pursuit of these goals, the client sought a service partner with proven expertise and experience in online training and technology within the pharmaceutical industry. They aimed to collaborate on the development of a dedicated Learning Widget.

The scope – Developing a Learning Widget

The project began with the client outlining their needs for the training process, which we translated into detailed business requirements. We then proposed a solution, considering the technology involved. The trickiest part was creating a Chrome browser extension for gentle reminders about overdue and new trainings.

After thorough testing to ensure everything worked as expected, we got the client’s approval and rolled out the product company-wide.

It took us a year for analysis and development, and we continued to support the system for several more years to keep it running smoothly.

Our team included specialists in business analysis, development, testing, and DevOps. We managed tasks and schedules using Jira and followed the Kanban method for development.

The result 

The customer expressed great satisfaction with the project’s outcomes. The implementation led to a significant rise in employee training participation and reduced the time taken to complete training from publication or assignment, as evidenced by application statistics.
